Favorite Bookish TV/Movie Characters

Characters from our favorite tv shows and movies that love books as much as we do!

Hello again my lovelies!
What? I’m in a weird mood.. sue me.

Okay.. so I came across a Top Ten Tuesday post the other day @ The Cat with a Book‘s blog about ‘Fictional Bookworms’ (you can check that out HERE) and I loved the idea so much that I just had to share some of my own bookish characters.

Let’s begin!

One of my absolute favorites?

Evie
The Mummy

We all know and love Rori but let’s not forget that there was another book lover in Stars Hollow..

This character doesn’t just love books. She enjoys learning. And that’s a beautiful thing..

And I know most people would think of this show and go ‘Sam!’ but no..

Bobby
Supernatural

You have to appreciate young woman’s love for reading and writing..

And let’s not forget this loveable Sci-Fi character..

Because sometimes we just need a little more ‘fun’ and ‘goofy’ in our lives..

This is one of the only versions of Cinderella I have ever really cared for and that’s mostly because of..

Danielle (Drew Barrymore)
Ever After

And who didn’t adore this tough little girl with her strange power and a love for reading..

Last (but certainly not least) The one.. The only..

Reid
Criminal Minds

And that’s all for now!

I did leave a few of the more blatantly obvious character’s like Hermione, Elizabeth Bennet, and Belle out.. but that’s only because they are pretty obvious choices. I do adore them as well.. Heck, I adore almost anyone who loves books.
Anyway!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

I love strong female authors and characters..
Women have come such a long way from the barefoot and pregnant expectation.. it’s just such a pleasure to see and be a part of.

Be safe and have a wonderful weekend!

  2. Daphny Aqua

I love Matilda, Jane the virgin and Spencer 😁

It’s so great when our favorite characters love books as much as we do! 🥰

  3. Lady Tessa

I always liked that about Jesse that he was so into literature.

      Right?
I thought it was funny that out of all the Stars Hollow teenagers who were known and loved.. it was Jesse, the misunderstood troublemaker, who turned out to be the most well rounded of the bunch.

    What a great post, Sheri.
