Books to look forward to this Halloween!
September – October 2021
Hello and Welcome, everyone!
We all know what this time of the year means:
1. Halloween always begins in September.
2. Pumpkin spice can and will be used in or on anything.
3. Christmas decorations: In a store near you.
It also usually means spending vast amounts of money on commercialized holidays that are no longer celebrated for their meaning so much as intent on sending you into financial ruin.. and we do it every year.
Do what you will and harm ye none, right?
One thing I enjoy the most about this time of the year is the reading.
Nothing says Fall to me like scary stories (the spookier and more disturbing, the better).. which made finding out about this little gem of a challenge all the more exciting!

Pumpkin everything? All the way! Fall definitely starts September 1 in my book. I tend to gravitate more towards thrillers and mysteries in the fall/winter, although I’m too much of a wuss to read scary/creepy books.
Everything in moderation, I say!
And I’m with you on that.. I always gravitate to the darker, stranger books at this time of the year but I like the scary ones, too!

Do you ever wonder why there’s so many Christmas decorations for sale every year starting around now Sheri? I always stop and question that when they hit the shelves in stores because honestly my family is still using ornaments from before I was born. Sure, there’s the occasional new add but who buys all that junk every year? Are we doing it wrong??🤣 Anyway…. happy fall reading Sheri!!!😃
People like shiny things? Companies like putting those shiny things under our noses for four months.. Which increases the chances of bored people who impulse buy actually caving and buying them?
For some it’s pretty hard to resist months of glitter, sparkles, and shiny stuff. 😂

That explains it, those parallel dimensions always confuse me!
