A complete list of the books I’ve had the pleasure of reading this year.
I started putting this post together at the end of July 2021.. It was just supposed to be a quick list of what I had read but, somehow, it morphed into this ridiculous thing.
I’ve mentioned on previous occasions that, before this last year, I had pretty much quit reading for about ten years. Life got in the way, responsibilities took over, priorities changed.. you know how it goes. Then the pandemic came and, all of a sudden, so many of us were given the opportunity to step back into the bookish world.
Now.. I don’t know a lot of people who enjoy reading in the real world so it’s hard to explain the joy, relief, and sense of coming home that books have brought me. But I know that many of you will understand.
It makes a difference.
The books, the blog, you crazy people..
Which is why I would like to share with you the books that have made my year a fun, colorful, (and sometimes frustrating) adventure into lands unknown and the incredible authors who brought them to life..
Enjoy!

My Review
I made a deal with myself that, when I started up reading again, I would open myself up to new genres and authors that I wasn’t familiar with or just wouldn’t normally choose. I have to say that it has been a mostly interesting, though, some times not.. but overall? A great experience.
Thank you all for being a part of my 2021 reading journey.
I can’t wait to see what new, old, or overlooked books 2022 has in store for us!
How was your year in books?

I didn’t realize we had read so many of the same books. Here’s to more great reads in 2022 🥂
I’m forever stealing books from you so I’m not all that surprised, you have great taste! 😆
Fingers crossed!
Amazing reads, I hardly could find myself the time to read much last year hopefully this year I will.
I was surprised I got in as many as I did, honestly.. life can get so busy.
Best of luck to you with your reading!
I bought so many new books but could never find myself the time to read it. Thank you 😊
That happens sometimes.. but you’ll get there. The books aren’t going anywhere. 😉
Yup, looking forward to reading more this year. 😁
That’s the hope! My reading has been suffering the last few weeks.. My fingers are crossed that it starts to improve soon though.
Best of luck to you!
Thank you very much! Best of luck to you as well! 👍
You’re very welcome!
And I may just need it so.. thank you! 😅
You’re most welcome! 😅
Woohoo, congrats on such a big list. We share some books on here, though there’s a lot more I want to read, especially the thrillers!
Thanks, Mogsy! I was surprised by how many there ended up being. It feels like this last year went by so quickly.
And we do tend to be interested in many of the same thrillers, in fact, I have quite a few books waiting tbr on your recommendation. I expect it will be a fun year for reading!
I love that idea of “coming home” to books, and am glad they helped you to get through the dreaded lockdowns! I hope you can still find time to read when things get fully back to normal. 🙂
Thank you.. home is where the heart is, right? 😊
And I’m sure I will, no matter how many times life gets busy, there will always be books waiting to be read.
I hope you’re having a wonderful week!
