Need a laugh out loud romantic comedy that even the cat will approve of? You’ll love this!
Now, this is not the type of book I typically read. I’m usually looking for something with a bit more butt kicking so.. My initial expectations were not very high so, imagine my surprise when I ended up loving it.
This story follows the life of a head strong, smart mouthed woman with a fiery temper, her fluffy companion, and the sexy playboy next door.
Warning! It’s called The Wallbanger—Sexual scenes and situations, foul language, and adult content are present.

The Wallbanger by Alice Clayton
Book 1 of 4: The Cocktail Series
“Fucking Wallbanger,” I hissed, frozed on the spot.
― Alice Clayton, Wallbanger
His grin slid off as well as he played place-the-face for a moment.
“Fucking Pink Nightie Girl.”
The battle of wills between Caroline and Simon is beyond entertaining. Neither character jumped out of the page at me on their own but their relationship, the vocal sparring, the way they respond and react to one another? Alice Clayton did a wonderful job. No holds are barred as they come to the realization that some of the best things in life.. Might be next door.
If you adore cats, or are any kind of animal person, this is the perfect choice.
“The girl next door was meowing. What in the world was my neighbor packing to make that happen?”
― Alice Clayton, Wallbanger
I feel like Clive the cat is the real star here. The lengths in which he will go to prove his devotion for one of the neighbor’s lady loves is extremely hilarious. The amount of concern my poor husband felt for me as I roll around laughing, snorting, and reading aloud the best parts.. it was a real thing.
Four and a Half Stars!
⭐⭐⭐⭐•⭐
This book deserves such a glowing recommendation. Alice Clayton accomplished one of my highest requirements for a good book.. it’s ability to get you out of your head and into the story. She does that and more here so I give it four and a half stars. (half a star was deducted only because I feel like the depth of the characters and storyline left room for improvement.)
All in all, if you’re looking for some crazy fun reading this year, add this to your tbr and enjoy the ride.
