August 2023: What Books Made Your Month?

Time to show and tell those August reads!

Hello and Welcome to this month’s reading wrap-up!

Now that I know my reading slump wasn’t a ‘slump’ so much as my preference for murder mysteries shifting more toward fantasy, it’s been a lot easier finding books I enjoy—which means I have some great books to share with you today.

Unfortunately, due to some serious lagging issues that have plagued me this last week, I’ll be keeping this post short.
Anyone else having that problem? Because it’s really starting to pss me off.

Anyway.
Let’s check out those books, shall we?

Enjoy!

What I’ve Read:

When the Wicked Play by Tristina Brockway
Fortune Falls by Jenny Goebel
Once Upon A Broken Heart by Stephanie Garber
Three Mages and a Margarita by Annette Marie

What I’m Currently Reading:

Dark Magic by Raluca Narita

The Goddess of Death, the Grimm Brothers, and the Devil collide in a thrilling new paranormal fantasy series.

Primrose Titan is the Goddess of Death, an ancient deity who reaps the souls of the dead and rules the Underworld. All life ends with death, and in death, there is no happiness. Primrose knows this better than anyone, and her heavy responsibility has twisted her reality, purging her of all feelings for humans—or so she believes.

When the Demon King Lucifer escapes his prison in Hell and threatens chaos on the human world, Primrose must hunt him down. The High Court, a council of deities, is skeptical Primrose can handle Lucifer on her own and appoints the handsome yet icy Atlas Grimm, one of the fabled Grimm Brothers, to assist her. Strange, dark magic and supernatural creatures sent from the Devil himself stand in their way, along with political enemies acquired over the millennia.

What I’d Like to Read Next:

Junkyard Cats by Faith Hunter
A Fate Unknown by Sinclair Kelly

The Silver Eyes by Scott Cawthon

Books I’ve Picked Up/Won:

I Am Her Revenge by Meredith Moore
The Passage by Justin Cronin
Serafina and the Twisted Staff by Robert Beatty
Those Who waWish Me Dead by Michael Koryta

And that’s a wrap!
Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my post, I hope you enjoyed it and maybe grabbed a few for yourshelf.
Stay safe, be well, and have a wonderful September.

No problems here, Sheri. But it may pay you to get your computer checked out, or run a virus check on it. Sneaky things get in everywhere these days! 💕📚
