Book Covers to Love: Blood

13 books you’ll want to check out this fall that feature some bloody good covers!

Happy October, everyone!

I’m kind of on a roll with my ’tis’ the spooky season’ posts but it’s always so much easier to write about the things you appreciate.. or can’t stand. Nothing will make you more passionately opinionated towards something than love or hate.

Fortunately.. I happen to enjoy Halloween quite a bit.

Ghost, demons, witches, a brief window in which the veil between the living and dead is the thinnest. It’s the spookiest, darkest, most haunted time of the year.
What’s not to love?

Even more so, she was captured with the story behind what ended him up at Henry Ellin Asylum.

Before she knew it, Ella was invested in Lebannon’s recollection of his work with his previous employer, a large company that partook in work so stressful they had a lone elevator on the east side of the building known in the company as the “Suicide Elevator.”

A company allowing employees to commit suicide if they found themselves too stressed by the work? Could this be true? Was the conspiracy to discard Lebannon because of his inside knowledge real? Or was there something much darker at play?

Ella would soon learn more than she bargained for with her last minute internship assignment. The truth will be much more than she could have ever imagined.

The hooded killer won’t stop until I’m completely shattered. He’ll eat away at my mind, heart, and soul until there’s nothing left. No one left to love, no one left to trust, and nothing I can be sure is real.

Dr. Cross thinks a trip back to the place my parents died will stop the visions. Alex is afraid it’s a trap.

But I know the hooded killer won’t hurt me. That’s not his game.

His game is much deeper. Much darker.

As she gasped for breath on the forest floor, Sophie was terrified but not surprised. She’d heard the rumors, the whispers. They said she was too weak and foolish to rule, a waste of a princess. A disaster of a future queen. And Sophie believed them. Because in this world, poisoned apples don’t put you into an enchanted sleep – they infect your mind with the cruelest things ever said about you. It’s what keeps girls like Sophie from becoming too powerful, too strong….

Yet Sophie doesn’t die. She’s rescued by seven mysterious engineers who manage to fashion her a temporary heart. It’s not perfect, but it has one advantage – it hasn’t been contaminated by fear. Now Sophie has the chance to hunt down the source of the poisoned apples, to find the person who stole her heart and take it back.
