As Cook and his squad struggle to uncover the truth behind the condemning evidence, the pieces just won’t fit—and forces are rallying to make certain damning secrets die alongside the victims in the murder house. With his own people in the cross-hairs, Cook takes a desperate gamble to find answers—even if it means returning to a hell of his own worst nightmares . . .

Last Book I Finished:

The Lost Village by Camilla Sten

Documentary filmmaker Alice Lindstedt has been obsessed with the vanishing residents of the old mining town, dubbed “The Lost Village,” since she was a little girl. In 1959, her grandmother’s entire family disappeared in this mysterious tragedy, and ever since, the unanswered questions surrounding the only two people who were left—a woman stoned to death in the town center and an abandoned newborn—have plagued her. She’s gathered a small crew of friends in the remote village to make a film about what really happened.

But there will be no turning back.

Not long after they’ve set up camp, mysterious things begin to happen. Equipment is destroyed. People go missing. As doubt breeds fear and their very minds begin to crack, one thing becomes startlingly clear to Alice:

They are not alone.

They’re looking for the truth…
But what if it finds them first?

Come find out.

What Lowen doesn’t expect to uncover in the chaotic office is an unfinished autobiography Verity never intended for anyone to read. Page after page of bone-chilling admissions, including Verity’s recollection of the night her family was forever altered.

Lowen decides to keep the manuscript hidden from Jeremy, knowing its contents could devastate the already grieving father. After all, no matter how devoted Jeremy is to his injured wife, a truth this horrifying would make it impossible for him to continue loving her.

Last Book I Listened To:

I still haven’t listened to an audiobook.. I’ve been attempting to find one that might work best for a first time listener (I don’t want to scare myself away with a bad experience) but I haven’t had any luck yet.
I’m thinking a romance or thriller (just so I don’t have to keep up with too many characters) but finding one I would be interested in listening to is difficult.

*dusts hands off* And that’s that.

First: Thank you. I really appreciate you taking the time to check out my post!
I feel like I’ve ended up rather lucky with the books I’ve been reading lately and I’m glad I get to share them today.
Hopefully they’ll be just as exciting for you.. if not more!
