She Walks In Beauty by Lord Byron

A beautiful June morning like this deserves an equally lovely poem.

I haven’t posted a poem in a while but since I just spent Saturday on the road for nine hours and today running around South Florida like a crazy person.. My ability to concentrate is shot.
We were lucky enough to slide right in behind ‘not a tropical storm’ Alex so.. that was nice.

But we’re exhausted and not even Spongebob could squeak two pickles together inside this scrambled brain of mine.

Good news though!
You get to enjoy this stunning poem by Lord Byron.

She Walks In Beauty

She walks in Beauty, like the night
    Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that’s best of dark and bright
    Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellowed to that tender light
    Which Heaven to gaudy day denies.

One shade the more, one ray the less,
    Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
    Or softly lightens o’er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express,
    How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.

And on that cheek, and o’er that brow,
    So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
    But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
    A heart whose love is innocent!

Doesn’t he just have the most wonderful way with words?

I don’t know about you but I love the world seen through the eyes and words of poets. The colors and dreams of artists. And the patience and imagination of authors. They build us worlds, pen our adventures into being, and breathe life into the friends we make between the pages of our favorite books.

I love it.

How do you like to see the world?

    Oh I definitely love this one, what a beautiful way to take one through the beauty of how she walks. ❤️

      Agreed.
      I love the way poets see the world. There’s always so much feeling in it that reaches out and grabs you, fills you.
      Glad you liked it!

        Yeah it is quite different from the rest of the world. 🙂
