Celebrating My 2 Year Bloggiversary!

“Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.”
― Winston S. Churchill

Welcome, everyone!

Today’s post is a bit special to me.. It blows my mind but I’ve now been a member of the blogging community for a whopping two years.
It seems like just yesterday that I stumbled into blogging, all wide-eyed and new. I had no idea what I was getting into but I lived, I made mistakes, and I’ve learned.

This experience has been wonderful. You and all things bookish have brought so much life, knowledge, adventures, and friendships into my world and I can never thank you enough. It’s been a journey I’ve enjoyed and hope to be a part of for many, many more years to come.

So.. Today I’ll be sharing some of the books, bloggers, quotes, and more! that have made these two years so wonderful.

Enjoy!

Poem:

Don’t Quit by Edgar A. Guest

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low but the debts are high,
And you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit…
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit!

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many failures turn about
When we might have won had we stuck it out.
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow…
You may succeed with another blow.

Often the struggler has given up
When he might have captured the victor’s cup;
And he learned too late when the night came down,
How close he was to the golden crown.

Success is failure turned inside out…
And you can never tell how close you are
It may be near when it seems so far.
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

Quotes:

Because you can never love just one..

“About the only thing I know is that it all comes down to love. Love is the only thing that matters. It’s all there is. But that’s plenty.”
– The Girl I Used to Be by April Henry

“Everything will be okay in the end. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end.”
– The Maid by Nita Prose

“Where her books were, she was. Get the books right and the rest will follow.”
– Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson

“I need your help. Because our world is in a precarious state. There is an ever-widening sinkhole of mediocrity trying to consume us all and we need to find higher ground”
Acts of Violet by Margarita Montimore

“What I’m trying to tell you is:
don’t aspire to be fearless. aspire to be brave.”

The Gravity Inside Us: Poetry and Prose by Chloe Frayne

Challenge:

I’ve loved most of the challenges I’ve participated in so far, many fantastic reads were discovered, but this one was my favorite.

Book Tag:

There are so many amazing book tags out there but I really enjoyed The ‘Count to 10 With Me’ Book Tag created Alyce @The Bumbling Book Blogger
It was surprisingly challenging.

And because I ended up loving the way it turned out.. I’d like to also share a favorite book tag I created.
The ‘This is Your Story’ Book Tag
I enjoyed making it and everyone seemed to appreciate what I was going for.

And that’s a wrap!

Thank you all.
For your support. For your kindness. For making this fun. For being here. For making up this incredible community. For sharing your thoughts, hearts, and lives with us. Thank you.

How long have you been blogging?
Have you enjoyed it?

Thank you, Leah, this has made my day.. you’ve got me tearing up. You’ve all been so amazingly kind and supportive, even now, your words fill my heart.
I’m so very glad to be a part of your journey and you a part of mine.

My husband just walked in on my sniffling and, concerned, asked what happened.. all I could say was ‘They’re just so nice’ and now he thinks I’m crazy. 🤭
