Welcome!
Today I’ll be sharing some info on my favorite reading challenge of the year, Readers Imbibing Peril, along with a few of the books I hope to complete over the course of the next two months.
Now, I have yet to see the challenge’s official post for 2023, as it appears the site as moved, but I’m going to start in on it anyway and fingers crossed that I don’t completely fudge it up.
Best of luck, my fellow #PerilReaders, may all your reads be haunting!
Readers Imbibing Peril:
From Sep 1st to Oct 31st, readers participating in the RIP (Readers Imbibing Peril) challenge will be gobbling down those deliciously dark stories we all (mostly) know and love. Create you’re own preselected list of reads or grab whatever catches your eye. And don’t worry, if horror alone isn’t your thing, you can host from a whole host of genres like:
Mystery.
Suspense.
Thriller.
Dark Fantasy.
Gothic.
Horror.
Supernatural.
The goal is really quite simple.
Have fun.
Share that fun with others.
That’s it.
See? Simple.
Plus, if you’re interested—and able—You can also participate in various other “Perils”

Books I’ve Chosen:
A House Without Bones by T. Kingfisher
Mia Evers and the Demon’s Curse by Angela Guajardo
Just Stay Away by Tony Wirt
A Fate Unknown by Sinclair Kelly
The Silver Eyes by Scott Cawthon
My mood is likely to change and steer me towards other reads but I plan on and hope to complete these five in particular for the challenge.
For those who enjoy dark, spooky, and weird stories—I will be sharing my reading progress throughout this challenge so don’t miss out!
And that’s all for now..
Thank you for stopping by, I hope this post was helpful!
If you’re also participating in RIP, leave a comment or link below and I’ll make sure to check it out.
Happy reading!

Oh my, where was this challenge earlier this summer when it felt like all I read was horror? Guess I still have a lot of horror oh my list, I would have participated without even realizing it 😂
